Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra state, is the dream city of every Indian. Mumbai, also known as the financial capital of India, is the richest city in the country.
With its number of attractions, the city attracts a good number of visitors throughout the year.

Some of the major attractions of Mumbai are:

Gateway of India: Gateway of India is the most renowned monument of Mumbai, which is the benchmark of the city. It was built during the British kingdom in 1920. Gateway of India is the first thing that you see in Mumbai, while you come by boat (via sea route). It is located opposite to Hotel Taj Palace, in South Mumbai.


Haji Ali: Nestled in the middle of the ocean, Hazi Ali is one of the popular pilgrimages in Mumbai. It is both a tomb as well as a mosque, which was built in 1431 by a rich Muslim merchant and saint, Haji Ali. It is located in central Mumbai, near Mahalakshmi railway station.

Movie City: Mumbai is most popularly known for its Hindi film industry, called 'Bollywood'. Here you may visit the resplendent Movies city - the heart of Bollywood. It is located at Goregaon in Western suburbs of Mumbai.

Elephanta Caves: The Elephanta Caves are the group of sculpted caves, located 10 km to the east of Mumbai, on Elephanta island. These are the rock-cut caves with superb architecture, where you may see the excellent Hindu sculptures. Carved between 5th to 8th centuries BC, these caves are counted among the important heritage of the country.

Juhu Beach: Juhu is one of the best sites of Mumbai, known for its sprawling beach. Surrounded by Vile Parle in the east and the Arabian Sea in the west, Juhu beach is one of the most opulent areas of the city. The place is famous for Mumbai's delicious street food like chats, bhel puri, Pani Puri, vada pav, and pav bhaji, etc.

Marine Drive, Aksa beach, Kashid beach Chowpatty beach are some other popular beaches in Mumbai.

Siddhivinayak Temple: Siddhivinayak Temple is one of the most visited and the richest temples of Mumbai, dedicated to Lord Ganesha. It was built by Mr. Laxman Vithu and Mrs. Deubai Patil in 1801, which nowadays is the major center of belief.
