Europe’s eastern frontier is the Ural Mountains in Russia. The boundary extends to the Caspian Sea, the Kura River in the Caucasus, and on to the Black Sea; the Bosporus, the Sea of Marmara, and the Dardanelles conclude the Asian boundary. In the south, the Mediterranean Sea separates Europe from Africa. The western boundary is the Atlantic Ocean. I spread Europe over almost 3.8 million square miles has 6.7% of the earth’s land, with 729 million people.
Europe has been occupied by many peoples and nations. The man migrated to Europe from the east in several waves, by a no longer existing land bridge from Asia Minor into the Balkans and from grasslands north of the Black Sea. By 4000 B.C. Europe had a large human population. Forests, mountains, and swamps kept peoples separate into groups for long periods. Migrations led to some people. Except for the northern part of the continent, Europe is populated. Eleven cities have a population of over two million, London, Moscow and Paris being the largest.
A world leader in economic activities, Europe is the birthplace of modern science and of the Industrial Revolution. In the 19th century, Europe had world dominance as it gained technological superiority. The Industrial Revolution began in England in the 18th century and changed the world with complex machinery, increased production and new forms of economic organization. Since the mid-20th century formation of the European Union (EU), the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) have spurred growth.
How to Experience The Best Travel Europe Can Offer:
For travel, Europe has so much to offer it’s hard to know where to start. Europe is a continent of great diversity, including temperature climate and various cultures you can experience. As a result, European trips work best when they are well planned. Apart from practical considerations (such as arranging your paperwork, health insurance, car hire, and travel plans), you will save much of the valuable vacation time with planning. If you want to cram as much positive experience as you can into your trip, you cannot afford to waste any time.
Although it’s possible to experience great travel diversity in one trip, the fundamental decision is to decide on the European vacation you want. Climate is one major factor that will help decide your trip, although in the winter possible to experience just about every climate on the same trip. There are plenty of places in northern Europe it would cover which in the snow, with sub-zero temperatures, but if you fly to the Spanish coast, you would most likely find clear skies and sunshine. Travel further south to the Canary Islands, officially part of Spain, and you will find the temperature still in the twenties.
If you want to see several countries in one trip, you will find travel in Europe has been made easier by the European Union, though you will need to show your passport on moving from one country to another. I have made inter-city travel by air as easy as possible, although security arrangements have been made more stringent in recent years. If you have traveled within the USA, you will already have experience with this.
With other types of traveling, Europe can be quite confusing. Many of the railway networks are state-owned by different governments. I have sold some into private hands, leading to a different company operating on one line. Finding the right tickets and fair journeys is often difficult for local natives traveling in their own country, never mind visitors from another continent trying to book travel across several countries.
At least English is widely spoken throughout the continent’s travel network, so you should be able to get the answers you need. If you have any long trips planned, it will definitely pay to do your research before you arrive. The Internet has made it easier than ever to book travel through Europe, as we can translate web pages into many languages. Watch out also for the savings booking tickets can make which in advance. These savings can add up as you continue to travel through Europe.
